The fabric is a cloth made of yarn like for example, denim-the fabric used to make jeans or jackets. There are two types of fabrics. Natural fabrics are made of animal body hair, silkworms, etc. On the other hand, Man-made fabric includes polyester, nylon. Similarly, t-shirts are made of knitted fabrics.Knit is a stretchable material that comes in different colors and fabrics.

The first and foremost fabric is Cotton Jersey fabric i.e. very common among individuals. It can be found in various garments especially in t-shirts. The fabric is so soft and comes with a light to heavyweight. Cotton Jersey is most preferred for making dresses.

  1. Cotton Lycra knit–

This kind of knit fabric has a smooth texture. Most of the fabric in stores is made of cotton Lycra. It is used for making leggings, undergarments, pajamas, hoodies, etc. One precaution for using cotton Lycra and spandex clothing is to avoid direct heating. One must use a towel to protect from heat because Lycra fabric doesn’t require much heat.

Interlock knit is quite the same as Jersey knit. The only difference between them is its thickness. Cotton interlock knit is preferable for leggings, shirts, etc. It is easily found in fabric stores.

The French terry knit is soft and shrinkable. After one wash you may find the cloth shrinkable. Other than this, it is light-weight, comfortable to wear.

Fleece knit is another form of knit fabric. It tends to dry up quickly after a wash. It is warm, cozy, and stretchy material one can found.

  1. Homemade knitting–

In earlier times, knitting was the hobby of so many people. Men, women utilize their time in knitting. It requires two knitting needles and yarn. It was done with so much patience and love. Still, now, many ladies do homemade knitting.
