Change #1: Southwest Airlines Reservations’ Rapid Rewards Changes
As of October 17, 2019, the Southwest Airlines reservations rapid rewards points are no longer in the peril of expiring. Change #2: Southwest Airlines Companion Pass Changes

Presently, you must operate 100 qualifying one-way Southwest Airlines flights or need to earn 110,000 qualifying points to achieve the pass. As of January 1, 2020, you have to collect 125,000 points to receive a companion pass for the following full calendar year.
The other conditions of 100 qualifying one-way flights requirements are unchanged. If you are currently focusing on earning a companion pass point, then folks you need to earn 125,000 points now. The pass will be useful throughout the complete year (2020).

Change #3: Southwest Same-Day Standby Changes

From January 1, 2021, any A-List or A-List Preferred Members who use same-day standby will have to pay an additional fee and taxes that result from the changes in Southwest airlines reservations and flights’ schedule. Southwest airlines’ members still are not responsible for paying any difference in fares, as long as the new flights leave before the original one on the same scheduled date of departure and is paired between the same cities.
