Humanity is at its best with advancing and enhancing the innovations. Anything, including inanimate objects, is programmed or automated-from smartwatch to vehicle, lights and even doors. The Internet of Things, known as IoT, is all set to bring a revolution nobody had ever thought before.
In the race to advance stuff, however, there was a great compromise on humanity. Ethics are often sacrificed to quench materialism’s hunger. Many Hollywood films were made on the subject where experiments by scientists go wrong and those machines transform rebellion.
If we stretch the panic on the Internet of Things, it gets scarier. IoT may include anything around people, and all non-living creatures have their brains to think like humans. The next-generation IoT is computers and devices packed with super-intelligence and empathy where people can be best understood or potentially function alone.
While the Internet of Things could be a wonderful human friend, if the new technology goes wrong, implications could occur. Yeah, because these computers and systems now have their brain. They are automatic and can learn by themselves based on human activities.
Artificial Intelligence and Artificial Empathy are the next two major things built into computers and smartphones. They will realise their strength, then try to shadow people. There are many bugs reported daily in automated stuff, but it’s easy to overcome because today’s computers and devices don’t resist. In the future, when they realise they are more strong and have better knowledge, they will refuse or repair it.
It’s no less than a nightmare when it’s hypothetically assumed that all the non-living things around us, including cars, doors, air conditioning, baby strollers, garage, and even refrigerator using their brains, begin to conspire against people.
People have to hold back their horses and operate carefully, as giving all the access and power to computers and devices would only land them in unparalleled trouble. It will then be impossible to face super-intelligence machines because they don’t feel pain. They have nothing to lose. Great scientists like Einstein have often warned the overuse of advanced technology, as it can lead to nothing but the entire eradication of mankind.
