The Tesla Model X is a mid-size luxury all-electric SUV built by Tesla, Inc. that uses Falcon wing doors to access the second and third-row seats. - Model X Engine: Generating Power
The Tesla Model X is equipped with a 100 kWh battery and two electric motors, one that powers the front wheel and the other that powers the rear wheel. This electric all-wheel-drive system delivers the Model X with amazing speed. Step through the throttle, and the SUV zipper will speed up with ease and confidence. There is also enough power to pass through the speed of the highway.
The standard Model X can accelerate from zero to 60 mph in just 4.4 seconds. The performance model is cut which spirits up to 2.7 seconds when in ludicrous mode. It’s faster than most luxury sports cars, let alone luxury SUVs.
- Model X Range and Charging: Power Up
The EPA’s expected driving range in the Tesla Model X Long Range is 328 miles. It is far ahead of electric SUV rivals such as the Audi E Tron and the Jaguar I-Pace, which offer 204 and 234 miles, respectively. The Model X Performance has a 305-mile driving limit.
You can recharge a Model X battery pack at public charging stations or at home using a 120- or 240-volt outlet. The latter can fully charge the Model X in 10 hours. For faster charging, you can plug in one of Tesla’s supercharger stations. Supercharging can provide a driving range of about 115 miles in 15 minutes. It takes an hour and a half to fully charge an SUV using this method.

The Tesla Model X is a heavy SUV, but it doesn’t feel that way from behind the wheel. The Model X stays stable around turns, its steering is fast and well-weighted, and its brakes provide strong stopping power. That said, it’s less efficient on models with 22-inch wheels and lower-profile tires.
