Too much focus on grammar:
This is the main mistake done by most of the learners. According to researchers, grammar study tends to affect the English speaking ability of an individual. Instead of focusing on the perfection of your language, focus on effective communication. The message should be communicated properly and this is more important than perfection. Perfection will automatically come when you start speaking.

Regrettably, most of us try to use formal textbook English in the process of learning to speak in English. But, this is not at all important. Try to learn the method of speaking casual English apart from basic textbook English.

Too much dependence on English Schools:
Most people rely totally on English schools and they think only the school can help them in learning English successfully. Of course, you will be able to learn the basics of English including grammar from these schools. But, you will be able to learn English more perfectly only when you practice the language on your own instead of totally depending on English schools.
